It’s a little late but I’m here!! Short edition as I came down with some stomach bug last night (and yes I really need to stop prepping these the night before… but it’s been a big week!)

🌮 Dear Taco

This is a section where readers can submit their Trello questions, and each week I’ll pick one and answer it! It’s like “Dear Abby” but make it trello. Have a question you want to submit? Share it here.

🚨 The queue is empty! 🫨 It’s been a while since this has happened. If you’ve got any burning Trello questions, feel free to submit them, and I’ll address them in future issues!

🙋 Britt’s Pick

If you’ve ever wanted to add a custom board button that links to another site, you might be disappointed with the current options for board buttons. But I found a way to build it, with PixieBrix of course.

It works like this, you just activate the mod, specify the link, and all your boards will have an External Link button.

None

I added instructions on the marketplace page for changing the text of the button and only showing it on one board.

💡 Use Case Idea

A Cat CRM!

I’m still building this board out, but I want to keep track of all my fostering journeys on Trello, so I’m making a Trello board. Each card is a cat, and they go through my workflows from living with me, to going back to shelter to be adopted, and then finally adopted!

At the moment it’s barebones, but I’ll of course add pictures to each card. And I’m also going to add labels for any special notes or items about each cat, such as if they’ve been spayed/neutered yet or not.

I also plan to add checklists for the things I need to practice and do with each of them. Maybe a daily checklist, maybe a weekly one. Still sorting that out.

Even if you’re not fostering cats, you might still find the concept helpful for anything else you’re keeping track of and taking care of. It’s a great way to keep track of tasks and chores for family pets!
