Also, I’m stoked to share the most exciting Trello announcement I think I’ve ever made…
and I are hosting TRELLOCON!That’s right—it’s about time Trello had it’s own conference. 🛎️ Newbie tips
New to Trello? This section will help you get up to speed and become a pro before you know it!
I see this question come up at least once a week in the community, by newbies and veterans alike! You show up to your board and you can’t find your cards.
Don’t panic—instead, follow these troubleshooting steps:
Check you don’t have a filter applied
If you look in your toolbar and see something like this, click Clear All.Check your archived items
Click the three dots in the top right of your board and go to the Archived items section. You can view lists and cards and send them back to your board with a click.Check your board activity
Still don’t see anything? Go to the same three dot menu in the top right of the board and click Activity. This logs everything that happens on the board and you should be able to look in there and see what happened. If it was deleted, unfortunately, it’s not recoverable, but I find this is rarely the case. Sometimes, it may have just been moved to another list or board.Use the global search
If you’re part of the new Trello beta, you can search for your card in the global search at the top of the board. This is helpful in case you maybe made a card in another board or someone moved things around.

⚡ Automation tips
Using Card Repeater Power-Up? Try using Scheduled automation instead.
While the Card Repeater Power-Up seems straightforward at the start, it can get a little messy to remember which one is the original card or make changes with due dates and customizations.
That’s why I recommend using Scheduled automations in Trello.
Head to the Automation suite by clicking the lightning icon and choosing one of the options. Click scheduled on the left side menu.
Then click the Create Automation button. You can choose your repeating cadence, and you have wayyyy more options than the Card Repeater Power-Up.
Click the calendar and clock icons to customize, and then click the blue plus button to add that trigger. Next, create your action by specifying the card you want to create (it will be the first option you see on the next screen).
You can give the card a title, specify the list it should appear in, and you can even add due dates, checklists, members, and labels to the card.
⚡ Bonus: you can use Automation variables to include dynamic information, like the current date.
🙋Can I try the new Trello?
You’ve heard about this Trello Beta experience coming, and while I can’t get everyone into it right away, the folks at Trello periodically ask me if there’s anyone I know who wants in the beta.
So if you do, reply back to this email and next time I get asked, I’ll share your email. (If your Trello account email is different than the email where you get this newsletter, just reply back letting me know the email of your Trello account.)
Special shoutout to my premium sponsors!
