I’m such a die hard Trello fan, that one Thanksgiving many years ago, back when Trello had it’s own Slack community, I started a trend encouraging everyone to share why they were thankful for Trello. It was really fun, and I plan to carry on the tradition this year.
What makes you thankful for Trello? Comment or reply back!
Also, as cheesy as it may sound, I’m thankful for you, my subscribers! I’ve always loved using Trello and helping people learn more about how to use it, and it’s been really cool to put effort into this newsletter and get so many folks subscribing and telling me they enjoy the content and sharing with folks! So thank you so much, and get excited for all that is to come!

This is the section where folks submit their Trello questions, and I answer them! Like Dear Abby, but for Trello. Want to submit a question of your own? I might feature it next week!
Dear Taco,
Is there a way to set up a reminder with bi weekly reoccurring due dates?
Why yes there is! A handful of ways you could do this, but I’d recommend trying this. Head to the automation section and the "calendar" section, then choose "every 2 weeks" as the trigger, and create a card with the reminder and set a due date to whenever you'd like either due that day, or due in two weeks. Like this!
My queue is running low…. need more questions! I know you’ve got them! Submit yours now and maybe I’ll feature it next week!

💡 Use Case Idea
If you’ve been a subscriber for a long time, you might remember at the very start of my newsletter days, I came up with a pretty robust meal planning process inside of Trello, and in light of all of us making a lot of meals these days, thought I’d share with you all in case you find it helpful!
Features are:
save recipes as each card and sort them by categories, such as meatless, quick, etc… any genre you prefer
pick out recipes each week randomly, or hand pick them
approve meals and generate a shopping list in another list
This probably saves me at least 30 minutes a week, as I don’t have to pore through Pinterest or wonder what i should make. I have a catalogue of all my recipes and new ones, and I decide what I want, or let Trello randomly pick ones, which I can then veto and get it to select another one in that category.
Once I approve all the meals, it will create a card for each ingredient I need in the shopping List. And then I just clear out anything I already have and head to the grocery store (or Instacart).
Want to give it a try? Watch this video where I share the template and explain how to set it up!
Also, if you prefer here’s a written walkthrough.
That’s all for this week! I need more ideas for Dear Taco, so please send me your Trello questions!
As I work on a music project in Trello, I too am both thankful for Trello and your blogs B!!!
