Make your Trello automations more efficient with this tip
Using Regex in automation, monitoring Trello uptime, and more!
Happy Thursday! I just realized Thursday starts with “T”, and so does Trello. Coincidence? I think not.
Trello Quick Tip
Using regex in Trello lets you simplify your automation and create more powerful rules! Instead of specifying a rule for each list, you can create one rule for when something happens to _any_ list, or _any_ label!
(And… it’s not as hard as you think, nor do you have to be a coder! Just follow my format.)

Creative Use Case
I’ve started co-hosting a live stream with my friend Biro at Goosly, and each Monday we go through the top finds in Product Hunt from the week before. Although we keep track of the best ones in Goosly, I created a Trello board that i can quickly new products to that i want to research.
It started out with one list that I created Trello cards from the Product Hunt page with a quick shortcut (thanks to PixieBrix).
But then I added a few rules to automatically add the day to the card, and sort it into the right priority list based on which level I selected.
Here’s how it looks in action.
And when i want to view the week’s launches by my favs and second most favs… i just switch to timeline view.
If you want to activate this PixieBrix extension to quickly send product hunt finds to a Trello board, you can follow this link to activate it! (It’s a free extension.)

👋 That’s all for this week! See you next week, friends!
