Happy Friday! I’m in your inbox a day later than usual because IT’S BEEN A BIG WEEK.
If you’re a premium subscriber, you already know everything that’s been going on because you got my daily updates! (In that case, scroll to the bottom with my action items and recommended next steps.)
For everyone here’s here’s the cliffnotes from the week:
📣 Product Announcements
AI. Unfortunately, if you only came for the Trello announcements, you’d be a bit disappointed. The major announcement that involved all Atlassian products, including Trello is Atlassian Intelligence. Basically, imagine ChatGPT but inside of Trello.
Atlassian Intelligence will help you summarize tickets/cards, generate replies and responses, and 🤫 maybe even create a board for you from a single sentence describing what you want.

Check out this trailer showing how it works.
And here’s some real life looking at it inside products.
Whiteboards. Confluence has whiteboards! If you use Confluence along with Trello, you might be happy to know that Whiteboards are coming soon. Imagine Miro or Figjam-like features, but inside of Confluence. You can create sticky notes for brainstorming and visualize workflows. And even better, coming soon, those sticky notes can be linked to your cards in Trello or Jira issues!
One Atlassian. Partners and Power-Up developers, this is most interesting for you, but Atlassian is offering a way to spin up demo environments of the Atlassian suite (yes including Trello) that has full access to features. A giant sandbox for playing around with things!
Atlassian Together - a single subscription for all Atlassian tools. I thought this was cool, but then I realized it’s only for enterprise teams… minimum of 1,000 users, so not for me, but maybe helpful for some of you.
🧠Learning
There was a really good workshop type of session about improving how you work in your team, and I think I’m actually going to do a livestream event guiding folks through this content and this workshop at some point, so be on the lookout for more info about that. But if you truly can’t wait, they have this video on YouTube that shows you the content and links to the playbooks (aka templates) mentioned:
We also learned how to use Trello for team meetings. Great talk by Caity Cogdell, and there’s even a Trello template board for it!
Atlassian Product and Support teams collaborate for shipping features by using Trello! How cool!
Swag Haul
Some swag that I got this week! It was a good week for upgrading my wardrobe.
I have an small Trello shirt and a blue tote bag that I am happy to send to anyone based in the US who would like it! Just reply to this email with your mailing address and if you want a bag or shirt. (First to reply gets it!)
That’s all for this week. I’m going to be taking a Trello vacation next week - I’ll be in Greece and recovering from Team, so there will be no newsletter next week, but I’ll be back in your inboxes the week after!
