I’m in the middle of the Bush in South Africa this week, so it’s a short edition of the newsletter, but I still wanted to share some nuggets with you folks! We’ll be back to regularly scheduled programming next week :)
🛟 How To and FAQs
💡 Use Case Idea
Using Trello as an idea board. If you’ve got a problem, or a new project, and you want to collaborate and brainstorm ideas together, you can do it all in a Trello board. There’s a couple ways you can do it. You can have a list for each member, or a list for each category type (for instance, if you’re brainstorming a new product launch marketing plan, you might have lists for each type of marketing channel).
Set a timer for 10 minutes and have everyone jump in and add a card for every idea that comes to mind… whether it’s good or bad, you can evaluate that later!
Afterwards, add the Voting Power-Up and then set another timer for folks to go through the ideas on the board and upvote the ones they like. You can a lot time for folks to share their ideas.
(If you want a quick way to know whose ideas are whose, before starting this exercise, create a rule that says when a card is added to the board, add {username} to the card, and it will automatically add a member, then you can just filter by member to see each person’s ideas for them to review!)
⚡️ Featured Power-Up
Are you using Trello to keep of any contacts? For instance, people who are applying for a role at your company, or potential leads in your sales funnel? You can do this in Trello without any power-ups just fine, but if you want to automate getting leads into your boards, storing contact info in multiple boards, or reporting on progression through a funnel, you can use the Crmble power-up.
That’s all for this week and I’ll see ya next week!
Nice update!
I hope you have a great time in South Africa!
