Two secrets, and no lies: This week in Trello!
Today’s my best friend’s birthday, so I’ll be celebrating that the best way I know how… talking about Trello of course! :)
Trello Tip
Feel like there’s too many things to do when a card is “done”? You’ve gotta drag it over, check the due date, check off all your checklists… if you wanna do it all in one click, just create a card button that does it all! Here’s your recipe:
Enjoying these tips? 🤫 Special secret that you’re all the first to know: I’m about to launch a site that generates new Trello tips whenever you click a button! Here’s a preview.
New/Upcoming in Trello
Have you noticed your labels on your board look different? Here’s why.
(PS - Okay I have another secret!! 🤫 I have the special opportunity to get to be involved with the Trello team on this launch! Can’t say anything more than I’ve said in my comment in the community post yet, but stay tuned!)
Amazing Fields launches card linking feature (you can select other cards from a dropdown option!)
Love Trello, but thinking about Jira? I’ll be talking about what it’s like coming to Jira from Trello at this year’s JiraCon on Sept 29th! Make sure to sign up, and use JOINER10 to get 10% off your ticket.

Use Case Idea
I’m a huge fan of Product Hunt, and I love finding new products on there. In fact, I actually spent a few minutes every day checking out what’s on there, and once I week, I go live on YouTube with a friend, and we chat about our favorite finds of the week. (You can get notified when we do that by subbing here.)
You won’t be surprised to know that throughout the week, I keep track of all my finds in Trello. (I actually use a PixieBrix extension to quickly grab the URL of the product, the description of it, and let me set a date and notes about it as well!)
I like using the timeline view because i can see the launches by each day, sorted by lists of my REAL favorites and my honorable mentions.
Not into product hunt? That’s okay - you can use the same concept to save other things you come across, whether it’s articles, things you want to buy, books to read, or anything else!
Feedback Opportunities
What do you think about my new branding? Don’t worry, I’m still talking about Trello, especially here in the newsletter, but I’m going to create some additional content outside on youtube, and maybe even another blog to help folks learn more about how to build other things… and don’t worry, you don’t have to be technical. In fact, that’s my whole point! I want to help folks who don’t think they’re developers figure out solutions to their problems with low or no code tools (and sometimes code, if you’re into that).
The best part is, if you want to use what I build, or learn how to build things, I’m here for both! So if you’re interested in that, you can choose which types of content you can get. Just take two seconds to fill out this form and let me know! (If you don’t take any action, I’m going to assume you just wanna stick around here on this list and learn about Trello only - which is honestly my favorite of all the tools!)
