💤 Automatically archive your cards when they get stale
🌮 Dear Taco
This is a section where readers can submit their Trello questions, and each week I’ll pick one and answer it! It’s like “Dear Abby” but make it trello. Have a question you want to submit? Share it here.
No dear taco this week because out of 500 of y’all apparently no one has any questions about Trello? 🤷♀️
I’ll give it another week, but if I don’t get any more submissions, I’m going to assume this section isn’t useful and I’ll disband it and try something else. So pleaseee if you have any questions, post them here!

💡 Use Case Idea
I just started a new role at PixieBrix (low code browser automation tool that you’ve probably heard me rave about) and I’m in the process of building out all sorts of Trello boards. I’m in the process of making this really cool calendar for community content, and I think you just can’t get more quintessential Trello than a content calendar.
And while this use case is pretty common, I think I’m putting some cool twists on it with automation… specifically this one rule:
I have labels for each type of content or channel we engage with users (TikTok, Slack, Discourse, etc.) and whenever I apply a label with the channel to a card, it will add a checklist for the things we need for that piece of content. By making the checklists named after the labels, I was able to do this with just ONE RULE, by using Butler Variables. (If you haven’t used them before, check it out. They’re powerful.)
⚡️ Featured Power-Up
Ever noticed that Trello only shows the date a card is due on the front of a card? If you want to know what time it is, you have to open up the card, and if you want to know the day of the week a task is due, well… you have to open up a calendar or do some counting on your fingers.
But I just discovered this power-up that shows you the time and day of the week a card is due on the front! Super easy to use - just add it to your board, no configuration needed!
For most of my cards, I don’t particularly care about the time it’s due. But I rarely know what the actual date of the month it is, so having the DAY it’s due coming up next to it is actually pretty handy for me. Hope it helps some of you out as well!
See you next week!
